"We all do what we do and we like what we do when we do what we do!"

It just came to me during a conversation with my girly girl (Note: Groupanoid is now girly girl) and it's so true.

We each have pet peeves, we each do stuff differently than the other person, we each have our own quirks.

I have a few:

1. I don't like odd numbers.

When I used to get laundry money I requested $10 in loonies and $10 in quarters. I was aked, "Why don't you just get a roll of each". My reply, "I will if you make them even numbers."

Myluc and I, our number is 3....I know I know odd. But this I can explain. We do 3 kisses and 3 nose rubs...that's 6. Our 3rd Anniversary falls in 2006. That's even. It all works out somehow.

2. I like to drink Carolan's coffee liquer from a shot glass not over ice. Over ice it's just wrong.

Those are my majors...although they may not be major but minor to me they are major.

Minor things are like pet peeves:

1. Your socks go into the laundry hamper not in the hallway or draped over the cat.

2. Cupboards do not need to breathe. Saying that air circulation prevents mold just doesn't work.

Lol...those two of mine and you can guess who they are directed at.

What are your quirks?

Quote of the Day:

Those who are skilled in combat do not become angered,
Those who are skilled at winning do not become afraid.
Thus, the wise win before the fight, while the ignorant fight to win.

Quote of the Day: Remember, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

I was on the skytrain this morning and a couple in front of me who looked like they were deep in conversation suddenly turned up the volume and let everyone know what they were talking about...and there are certain things that I don't wanna hear in public.

He: I hate it when we go out and you flirt with my friends, it's giving them the wrong impression
She: If they didn't like the flirting they should just tell me and I'll behave differently tho' that's who I am and if you don't like it....
He: They're asking if we'd be into sharing
She: Sharing with your friends...ewww.....well....
He: No no....not even a consideration

~~~~~~~
She: Would you ever wanna?
He: No, I'm happy with you and don't want to share.....why?
She: Well you see, it's kinda been a fantasy.....
He: What the Fuck?!? Really!?!
She: Whatcha thinkin'?
He: We prolly should talk privately....
*Note: this conversation is most probably missing crucial wording and well, this is the part that I heard while trying to read my last Gallagher series Nora Roberts book and let me tell ya....the conversation was very distracting...
Quote of the Day: Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much
Or something to that effect. I always say (Live, Love, Laugh) They are very important things to do and without...well, you won't.
A smile can be contagious as well as a laugh. Like in Mary Poppins with:
I Love To Laugh
I love to laugh
Loud and long and clear
I love to laugh
It's getting worse every year
The more I laugh
The more I fill with glee
The more the glee
The more I'm a merrier me
The more I'm a merrier me
Some people laugh through their noses
Sounding something like this:M-hmm hmm hmm - Dreadful
Some people laugh through their teeth, goodness sakes
Hissing and fizzing like snakesSss sss sss - not at all attractive
Some laugh too fast: Hee hee hee hee
Some only blast: Ha!!
Others they twitter like birds: Hee hee ho, hee hee ho
Then there's that kind what can't make up their mind:Hmm hmm hmm, ha ha ha, hee hee hee, ho ho ho, hee ha ho huh?
When things strike me as funny I can't hide it inside
And squeak: Hee! As the squeakelers do
I've got to let go with a ho ho ho ho, ha ha ha haAnd a ha ha ha ha, ho ho ho ho
We love to laugh
Loud and long and clear
We love to laugh
So everybody can hear
The more you laugh
The more you fill with glee
And the more the glee
The more we're the merrier me
Quote of the day: A lot of money is tainted. 'Taint mine, 'taint yours and 'taint enough of it.
Last night was awesome! MyLuc looked totally handsome and I admit, I didn't look to shabby myself. No pictures tho'...his camera is on the blink.
No "big" question but we raised our glasses and myLuc said "Melissa, it's been two years, looking forward to more to come!" Made me a little teary but very very happy.
The restaurant was amazing. We did two revolutions (The Revolving Restaurant) around the tower and got to see the sunset and the lights come on and o'course the streets where they were filming The Fabulous Four.
We had stuffed mushrooms (shrimp and crab) for an appy and then myLuc had a seafood medly with halibut, tiger prawns and scallops and I had stuffed salmon with shrimp, crab and something else. Baby potatoes too.
Myluc had a beer Granville Island Pale Ale and I had two Bubbling Berry's (Champagne and Raspberry Liquer) although there was a berry floating in it and I learned after the first one that it was decoration only....it was a Cranberry. Very yukky.
We ended dinner with a "Hot Kiss" apiece. S'posed to be creme de menthe and creme de cocoa and something else and o'course coffee 'cept the coffee was cold.
Overall I would say the evening was 9.5 outta 10.
And I have to admit that I am definately looking forward to the years to come with more romance, laughter, arguments and love and o'course lovin'.
Happy 2nd Anniversary to myLuc and I
It's a happy day. It's actually the day we started dating. Or as I like to cause trouble it's the day that myLuc and I went on our "second date". He took me to Osaka Teppanyaki in Vancouver. We were seated at a table with a grill right there and the chef did the whole knife thing with food flying through the air and into his hat and it was totally awesome. I say "second" because I think that our day was the 6th of April when I first invited myLuc to go listen to The Carnival Band with me on Commercial Drive. *sigh* aren't arguments a part of a relationship.
Kay now. Those who know me know that I do not to lie. Basically because I can not lie. I will smile or start to stutter or go red or cry. And that leads to what happened last night.
For three weeks I've kept the secret from myLuc where we are going for dinner. I have kept his gift a secret as well but that wasn't as hard to do. I purchased 2 gift certs for into Windsurfing and the guy sent the envelope to my house. I know I know. I should have thought that through and had him mail them to me at work. Anyways the guy was awesome enough to include a brochure with the gift certs and when the envelope arrived myLuc was like...hope that wasn't the surprise. My reply, which was awesome, was no no, I just wanted the brochure. He fell for it and didn't bring it up again. *phew* boy was I sweating.
Anyways, last night myLuc asked me so...are we going to the Revolving Restaraunt in Vancouver? I looked at him. He looked at me and I went to shake my head no and I totally burst into tears. I know I was overreacting but I wanted it to be a surprise. Why couldn't he have just let me have the surprise. ASS!
So after I calmed down he said he had talked with a coworker after my email that it was semi-formal and that she mentioned prolly the Revolving Restaurant. And o'course myLuc being myLuc....he had to ask. I told him if we met I'd kick he ass.
So then I thought you know, the Restaurant itn'st that big of a deal anymore I'm going to give him his gift cuz I think our day is the 6th anyway and he said oh yeah, well you'll get yours too. So he went out to the car. Yes, he keeps my gifts in the car. The one area where I can't get too cuz I don't have a key and o'course he knows me.
He was totally surprised and excited and can't wait until it warms up. Prolly July or August. My gift was CSI Las Vegas Season 3. I looked at first and thought it was Season 1 and was totally excited cuz I have Season 4 and he said no no, we're going to go backwards and then you'll really really want Season 1.
He's a goober some days but he's my goober and I love him.
I can't wait until tonight. *fingers crossed* he hasn't snooped and found my outfit. I bought a new shirt, skirt and shoes and hopefully can find a jacket during my lunch hour. Can't find the exacat one I want and I'm willing to pay for it which means I'm willing to look for it.
The weather report is rain though, go figure, Vancouver, rain really?!?
Anyways all, my rant is complete. I'll talk him into bringing his camera and maybe I'll have some new pics for you.
Quote of the Day: A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.
C'mon now. You had to have cracked some semblance of a grin....maybe a quirk of the lip or a sparkle to the eyes...even a quiet chuckle.
Came across this quote while blog hopping. It was just so good had to share.
Hope your Wednesday is a good one.
