Borrowed from Sasha White's blog:

You Are Sunrise
You enjoy living a slow, fulfilling life. You enjoy living every moment, no matter how ordinary.You are a person of reflection and meditation. You start and end every day by looking inward. Caring and giving, you enjoy making people happy. You're often cooking for friends or buying them gifts.All in all, you know how to love life for what it is - not for how it should be.

Found this on Susan Natalie's Blog...it's awesome

HOW TO STAY WELL (OR GET BETTER)

1. Do things that bring you a sense of fulfillment, joy and purpose - that validate your worth. See your life as your own creation and strive to make it a positive one.

2. Pay close attention to yourself, tuning in to your needs on all levels. Take care of yourself, nourishing, supporting and encouraging yourself.

3. Release all negative emotions - resentment, envy, fear, sadness and anger. Express your feelings appropriately - don't hang on to them. Forgive yourself and others.

4. Hold positive images and goals in your mind, pictures of what you want in your life. When fearful images arise, re-focus on images that evoke feelings of peace and joy.

5. Love yourself, and love everyone else. Make loving the purpose and primary expression of your life.

6. Create fun, loving honest relationships, allowing for the expression and fulfillment of needs for intimacy and security. Try to heal wounds in past relationships - as with old lovers, mothers and fathers.

7. Make a positive contribution to your community through some form of work or service that you value and enjoy.

8. Make a commitment to health and well-being, and develop a belief in the possibility of total health.

9. Develop your own healing program, drawing on the support and advice of experts without becoming enslaved to them.

10. Accept yourself and everything in your life as an opportunity for growth and learning. Be grateful and express it. When you screw up, forgive yourself, learn what you can from the experience and then move on.

11. Keep a sense of humor.

Your Aura Colour is Loving Tan.

Loving Tans make good teachers and observers. They are patient, objective, mental, friendly, eager, willing, optimistic, holistic, abstract and social. They can also be scattered and forgetful.

Loving Tans make good teachers and observers. They are patient, objective, mental, friendly, eager, willing, optimistic, holistic, abstract and social. They can also be scattered and forgetful.

Loving Tan is another Personality Spectrums color that is distinguished by an eclipse, a second band of color, which is Red, The Red surrounds the inner basic color, Mental Tan. The Red Eclipse adds the component of unconditional love.

Loving Tans are bright and inquisitive, and have a love of people. However, theirs is an abstract love of humanity rather than a love of specific human beings. Because of their ability to stand apart and observe the human condition without passing judgment, Loving Tans are- uniquely equipped to serve as the bridge of communication as our world shifts focus and priorities. Loving Tans are able to see the shifting patterns in all areas of human endeavor-law, education, government, economics, and world trade. They are able to distinguish those patterns that are emerging from those that are ebbing. Because this is a natural perceptive talent of Loving Tans, they are able to use it objectively.

Loving Tans tend to be the objective observers of life, unlike the Nurturing Tans who tend to be the participant/observers. The challenge for Loving Tans is to learn to focus and direct their energies and abilities rather than scattering them in all directions. Loving Tans are able to see all the separate pieces at once; at the same time they can appreciate the overall pattern of a puzzle. When they become fragmented, they `are overwhelmed and confused, and distrust their own inner process.

Weekend Stuff

Friday both MyLuc and I had it off. I did the cooking. We went to Superstore and bought a salmon fillet which I glazed with maple syrup and soy sauce. We ate it with rice and steamed broccoli. I even bought some sponge cakes and whipping cream to go with the strawberries for dessert. We didn't actually eat dessert tho' cuz we were full. Now if you knew me way back when you'd know I didn't like fish. Not at all. Growing up in the Kootenays I've tasted bear, moose, deer, squirrel, rabbit, grouse etc. Going fishing I'd be the one that got to drive the boat and then sit with a book while everyone else squished the worm on the hook and then just sat there waiting. I've lived in the Lower Mainland since August 1997 and only within the last 5 years have I developed a taste for sushi and seafood. It's kinda weird. When I tell my mom that we're going to take her out for sushi she says I don't eat any kind of raw meat...veggies only. Little does she know that she's in for a surprise.

We also rented some movies. I rented three for me because he wasn't off on Monday but o'course he wanted to watch one of them. He really wanted to see The Virgin Suicides. I'd seen it once and well, didn't really want to see it again, but we have a deal. We decide going in how many we'll rent. It's either 3, 6 or 9. Usually it's 6 so we don't have to decide on the 3rd one.

Saturday we did errands. We went to Walmart because I wanted some inexpensive shirts for work and play. They had nothing that I wanted and what they did have was thin and pastel.*shudder* MyLuc and I also stood for what seemed a really long time at the entertainment section picking through the DVD box. I bought the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I didn't look close enough tho'...it's full screen and we (aka MyLuc) don't do full screen. Across the way we went to Best Buy. I purchased a silver armour looking fitting for my Nano. It's awesome...screen shield and all. I also ended up purchasing movies...I didn't mean to really....but I had to. Home we went and vegged. I was cooking again and decided Greek was the theme for the meal. We had Greek Salad (o'course) and an awesome Spanakapita casserole that my friend's mom(?) emailed me. I also skillet fried some chicken and then made a sauce from what was in the skillet, lemon juice, chicken broth, spinach and tomatos. It was an awesome Adventure in Cooking.
Sunday we chilled. We didn't go anywhere until 2 when we began the drive to MyLuc's parents. It was a family dinner (Larry and Virginia, Matthew, Laura and Brian, Auntie Lorna and Cuz Nicole). After the meal about dessert MyLuc and I became very uncomfortable with a discussion Laura and Larry were having about the definition of racism. Now Larry is 54(?) and a Train Engineer. He's been there done that. Laura has been to school and works in the library. She's 19. The argument progressed to shouting and each trying to explain their point. It was horrid. In the car afterwards MyLuc asked me if that's what our friend felt when we argued. I told him I thought it was. So sorry to all of our friends who have been present when we've argued.
Monday I was supposed to go to Vancouver and pay my friend for the Sari she bought me for the SCA event and then meet another friend for lunch. I woke up, had a headache, didn't want to go. Called each of them and said so. I watched Barbershop and Barbershop 2 and Freaky Friday and read at least 3 books. It was awesome.
MyLuc came home about 4, I made perogies with sides of steamed broccoli and the last of the greek salad. We watched The Virgin Suicides. Bedtime was 10 and the four-day weekend was over.
I hope that you had a restful weekend.

Just a few things:

I was told recently by someone whom I met through MyLuc that she no longer wants to hang with us because we fight too much and it makes her uncomfortable. She thinks we fight dirty and intentionally hurt each others feelings. I talked with MyLuc about this and we were confused...we fight all the time, we pick at each other, we know each others buttons, but we don't intentionally set out to hurt each others feelings. If either of us have gone to far we know it. We do fight when we have Company but it isn't hurtful..or so I thought. I have spoken with a few other people and couples that we hang out with. They said "yep, you too fight like you're already married". I tried to think back to the conversations we had the night we had this person over and all I can't recall exactly where it went wrong. This person thinks MyLuc mentally abuses me and that she really doesn't understand why we're together. This totaly confused me.

MyLuc and I just celebrated three years. Three years of living together, eating together, sleeping together and being in each others space when we're not at our jobs. We have plans. We've cancelled plans. We're engaged and gonna be for a very long time...but that's another story. I love him and he loves me. It's one of our favourite stories because he pursued me and I basically told him to go away. I moved somewhere new all by myself and called him up....he said I love you first, my thought was cake. We're not perfect, few couples are.

I told this person how sorry I was that we made her uncomfortable and that we'd try to behave. I haven't heard from her since. I'd like to think MyLuc and I are a couple who others can come hang with, eat dinner with, do stuff with...I just don't know.

~~~~~~~~~~
I know my math is bad, it isn't intentional...or is it. Sometimes I make stupid mistakes. I woke up Saturday morning and wanted to do laundry. I do what I do every laundry day and make piles of a loonie and three quarters. I freaked out and called MyLuc to see if he had any loonies because I had run out. He came into the kitchen and started to laugh. It turns out I had made piles of three loonies and three quarters. I had more than enough. *blush* Yep, I need to wake up, have some coffee, do some morning stuff and then ... perhaps...do something that requires brain power.
~~~~~~~~~~

I've emailed and commented over at "Ma" from BananaRants blog and she's been awesome enought to send me a recipe for Spanakopita Casserole. I can't wait to try it out. Spanakapita is one of MyLuc's favourite Greek eatings...next to lamb o'course.

Sooo....

Last night I zoomed outta here at 430 cuz MyLuc said his reservations were for 6. It takes me an hour to get home so I was a little panicked. I made it by 545 and MyLuc said...no the reservations are for 7. *sigh* We had time to fill up my little Ipod Nano. After filling out all the computer id stuff we proceeded to download and then had an option for the Itunes to pick Melissa's Tunes. We chose it to see what it'd do. It was really cool and weird. All of the Elvis songs got picked (and you know I love Elvis) and the Corrs and Kenny Wayne Sheppard. I wasn't too keen on the Weird Al but what can you do.

We went to the Bavarian Haas for dinner. Very cozy homey atmosphere with the most amazing selection of schnitzel (breaded flattened pork) that I have ever seen. I ordered a 1/2 ltr of Witzen something. It rocked. Even MyLuc had some and then a pint of Weisen something. MyLuc started with onion soup and said try something new - so I had scallops, shrimp, cheese and mashed potato baked in a small dish. It was interesting. For dinner I had schnitzel stuffed with black forest ham and swiss cheese, topped with sauteed mushrooms and bearnaise sauce. MyLuc had schnitzel topped with asparagus, crab meat and bearnaise sauce. It smelled awesome and the portion was huge. Neither of us finished but we had room for dessert. We shared a caramel creme brulee and actually left a smallish portion. See MyLuc has this thing about always taking the "last" thing. So I left this for him. He didn't want it and neither did I. Weird people aren't we.

Walking home was awesome. We worked off our dinner to sit on our butts and watch an episode of Killer Minds. I love Mandy Patinkin. He rocks!

This morning I loaded up my fully charged and song filled Ipod Nano and off to work I went. It is too cool. It's so light that I'm not feeling like I'm loaded down. I had it on shuffle but for some reason it really really liked the Corrs, which lasted until I walked into work this morning.

There are actually absolutely no plans this weekend which means I can do all the laundry and an apartment clean. Whoopee! (NOT) *fingers crossed* that the weather is good. I've been heading out with my digital camera taking pictures and some of them are quite good surprising me.

*HUGE HUGS* Hope your Friday and the weekend are awesome.

A little history:

Approximately October 2002 I attended our Mediaeval dance class on my own and was a little shy but had made friends and well, was learning the dances of the 15th century. MyLuc then known to me as Noah often asked me to dance and I would totally harass him because he never smiled or showed expression. I had become friends with someone known to me then as Wolfie. Noah's ex-girlfriend from the previous year. She still had feelings for him but knew that they just weren't compatible.

Noah pursued me and asked me for coffee after every dance class, I declined. He had tickets to Tom Cochrane, I declined. He offered to walk me home from dance class even though he drove in, I declined. I moved to New Westminster in March 2003 and my first thought was "I'm a little lonely". So I called up Noah and asked if he wanted to come over for a movie. "Sure" he said and brought over his DVD player and Mallrats. Now I had never seen any Kevin Smith movies and I got totally hooked...on both Noah and Mallrats. We talked until like 4 in the morning and then I asked him if he wanted to stay. We slept side by side with him holding my hand. It was awesome.

Over the next few weeks Noah would stay the weekend and we'd talk and walk and go places. I have to admit, I really really wanted to jump'im but he wanted to wait. So we talked, n' walked and watched movies and it was awesome.

In April 2003, MyLuc and I decided we would be "exclusive". We argue that the anniversary of that day is either April 6 or April 7. I chose April 6 because I invited MyLuc to come to a Folk Heroes show and watch us perform and he chooses April 7 because he took me out to a very nice restaurant ie: expensive.

Approximately May I finally figured out his name was Luc and Noah was his SCA Name. About June he decided it was time to meet his parents. I was so nervous. I went to the store and bought a really brilliant coloured flower (I can't remember what it was) and off we went. When we arrived Virginia walked out of her very large greenhouse covered in dirt. I was horrified. Why couldn't he have told me...I could have gotten her something different.

All in all the first meeting went well, Virginia actually either didn't have that flower or that colour...one or the other.,,and today I really miss her when I don't hear from her. His dad Larry was great. Kinda standoffish but today is the one who says "Where's my hug". His sister Laura the youngest, recently engaged to Brian, the phrases I hear "Do you really like his hair that long?", "Why are in you in a Cult?." His brother Matthew is the quiet one. He and I talk about movies and occasionally laugh over my choices.

The present:

Either we decided or I decided to celebrate our anniversary. The first one MyLuc took us back to our first date restaurant. The second one I took him to the Revolving Restaurant downtown Vancouver where every 10 minutes or so revolution we got to see (kinda) the filming of the Fantastic Four.

This morning we exchanged our gifts because I needed to be at work at 7 instead of 8. He was thrilled to recieve a packet of saffron, Superman (the first and best one), Dr. John tickets for July, Dr. John CD for New Orleans support, 2 Gargoyles and o'course a smushy card and a funny one. I was bouncing in my seat after receiving an Ipod Nano. I can't wait to get home and download music and yup...almost too excited to type.

I can't work late tonight (last night I was here to 830) because he's taking me out for dinner and our reservations are for 630 or so. I don't know where but he says it's somewhere new that we've talked about but never been. Hmmmm.

Anyways, I just had to share. Have a great Thursday!
