I Can Do It!!

Waay back in September I joined the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team In Training to fundraise and participate in a 30km Marathon in Phoenix, AZ. Unfortunately due to not meeting the minimum fundraising amount I was unable to participate in the Marathon. Several people contributed hugely to my fundraising efforts and in doing so have a teensy bit of leverage over continuing my training to participate in the 10km Sun Run here in Vancouver April 23.

Strongarm and I will be participating the Sun Run and maybe *gasp* running at least some of it. Holy freakin' goodness. I never wanted to run because too much of me moves no matter how I strap my curves to my body with spandex wear.

This is going somewhere I promise...

Last night tho' was an "OH MY GOD" moment.

In January I was measured for a bridesmaid dress that the bride was making. That made sense right?!? Last night I went for a fitting and found out that I went from a size 18 to a 22...because I've lost in my waist and hips but gained in my bust. Now itsa medieaval gown, fairly low in the front, royal blue with lacy sleeves (I'll get a pic when I can) but we *might* have to put a panel in the back because the top of the dress doesn't close.

Here I was all proud of myself because I've been training 1 hour a day...walking a whole whack up hills and down and going to the gym to do some cross training and all my work is going to shrink places and expand others. MyLuc isn't complaining so that's prolly why I didn't notice...right?

So now I have 2 goals...continue upping my walking training with a little jogging and running for April 23rd and lose at least 2 sizes in my chest (are we actually able to do that) before June 2.

I can do it...I just have to wrap my head around it and o'course believe that my efforts will shrink my girls.

Goodness eh?

Stupid boobs! I've dropped a crapload of weight, but I noticed that my boobs somehow expanded again ... so maybe this is a normal phenomenon????? Good luck in your training!

Hello,
Thank you for reading and posting on my blog. My daughter and I have enjoyed reading yours, too! She liked your anime pics and laughed out loud at yer complaint about "the girls" She can really relate, cause she has the same problem.

Look forward to reading more from your blog and hope you will read my blog again, too!
