Hello All!
I have to tell you that I decided my birthdate "November 24" will be changed to "November 6" as too many negative things happen on the actual birthdate. I chose the 6th because 2+4=6. Smart ain't I.
I'll go with the good stuff and maybe later blog about the bad...*shrug* we'll see....
After work on the 24th, wearing my brand spankin' new Teal shirt, black dress pants and fuzzy teal socks... and lookin' awesome (Sorry Clara*...again...no pics)...I met up with MyLuc and we went for All You Can Eat Japanese. It was awesome. We then went to Harry Potter. I have to say that it was very good but I preferred the book. MyLuc hadn't read the books at all and had no idea what was going on but he sat through it...with me explaining now and again what was going on.
MyLuc also explained that I would not be getting my birthday gifts until Saturday because of "technical difficulties". *sigh* What can you do?
Friday came and went. MyLuc and I had a nice evening at home just relaxing and trying to get everything organized for Saturday.
Saturday I went and had my hair re-highlited...this time instead of "Rebel Red" I went with "Ego" which is a deep red with purply tinges....It looks awesome and so far is my favourite. This took about 3 hours and I went home...totally excited about the upcoming hours. MyLuc presented me with Buffy Seasons 4 and 5 and told me that the other portion of my gift would be a few weeks yet...as it went out of the store as fast as it came in...hmmmm.. I finally had him tell me because the suspense was totally killing me. Killer Bunnies Booster pack ummm...the next colour...there are so many that I have no idea. Chin Chew...as Patrick will now be known...brought gifts from Elizabeth, a gift cert for books, one for Future Shop and over the ear head phones...Tremendous! Luc's Mom and Dad brought me Oregon Chai mix (x5), Oven Mitts and a Bon Jovi CD - Have a Nice Day! Bowling was just the 5 of us as the rest had cancelled or had other things come up. It was still good tho' and we're totally going to do it again.
After bowling we went back to the apartment where we ordered takeout East Indian. mmmm lots n' lots of butter chicken with a few other things and o'course naan. Two other friends showed up and we totally filled up while watching Corner Gas...because o'course MyLuc had found out that him Mom n' Dad n' Chin Chew had either never watched it or only sporadically.
And o'course everyone mentioned that it was really dark in the living room. It's true. We have no lights there except for a desk lamp on MyLuc's desk. *sigh* One day we'll have light.I had to fill out paperwork for the SCA. More accounting. *sigh* One day...soon no more math...or at least not math that I have volunteered to do for others.Everyone left but Chin and we sat and watched stuff til like 2 in the morning. It was awesome.
Sunday I met up with my friend Strongarm. She gave me the "V-Slicer". Now this is something that I have wanted for the last 2-3 years and I stop, every freakin' year at the display stand at the PNE and watch the....?...as they show what exactly it can do. Totally cool. She also o'course made me laugh as I'm her "Almost 30" friend...her birthday is in April...we'll see what kinda "age" thing I can come up with.
My brother Sprout turned 25 on the 29th. I called and left a voicemail...same as he did for me...one day we'll connect.
I talked with Stretch, my other brother, I invited him to spend Xmas with MyLuc and I ... we'll see...he's still recovering from his accident and doesn't know what his plan will be.

Honestly, I can understand from both perspectives, knowing you both quite well. The only thing I have to say about this situation, is that things get misconstrued SO easily in written conversation, be it chat, email or written notes. Emoticons don't cut it for expressing emotion, sarcasm doesn't translate well and things get blown out of proportion much easier than you'd expect. I'm sorry that things came to this conclusion, however, sometimes that's life.
If parts of this don't make sense, I blame the rum. It's all the rum's fault.
