B.B. King

Two letters followed by periods and then royalty.

Let me tell you. He is the King of Blues. Myluc and I attended the B.B. King concert here in Vancouver on Sunday night. It was awesome! I got a little teary when he came on stage but that's just because I felt I was in the presence of a tremendous human being who has been there, done that, seen most of it.

This man is 79 years old and "has earned the right to sit down...bad back, back knees, diabetes, bad eyes...." He was all attitude and sass...rocking to the music in his chair, his feet never stopped moving. He had us all following him and the band and laughing and goodness...awesome stuff.

At then end of the 2 hour concert he brought us all to a halt by reaching down beside him and saying that he had to watch the time or he got into trouble. And o'course there was a kitchen clock with big numbers and dials that he was marking the time by.

There was no encore but none was needed. As B.B. left the stage "Bugaloo" (I can't for the life of me remember his name) kept repeating "B.B. King, Ladies and Gentlemen, B.B. King."

I have to say that this was a very memorable experience made even more so by being 3rd row left side with only 1 row ahead of us because the numbering started with row 2....and o'course Myluc's picking the tickets up.

*HUGE HUGS*
