Quote of the day: Electricity is really just organized lightning. (Duh!)

My weekend n' week went okay. Here's it in short.

Wednesday myLuc took me out to dinner at Yannis Greek Taverna in New West. It was an awesome surprise. We had Sangria and roast chicken, souvlaki, greek salad, roasted potatoes, spanakapita, and dessert...can't remember the name of it...very cinnamonny... We had our Eisenmarche Council meeting with only 5 members in attendance and I had gotten my financial report for the 1st quarter done...only 17 days late....but we made like $100 or something.

Thursday, cleanup the apartment, laundry, went to W. Van to visit my Ashcroft lawyers (first law firm I ever worked at). Chris (fem) took me to lunch and we gossipped...they've had 12 secretaries. I was the first. The secretary that was there (I can't remember her name) even said "Oh, you're the Melissa!?!" Cool. I have a reputation. Then I went to Set Salon Spa for a pedicure. Which totally sucked. Good thing it was only $40 not $54. MyLuc made steaks for dinner then drove me to the skytrain. Went to Strongarms. Went to her sis Kylees to pick up and then drop off Kylees hamsters at her friend. Survived the horrid lightning and thunderstorm.

Friday, left at 9. Text messaged MyLuc and my girly girl one to water the plants and the other to get in touch with her rabbi about converting to judaism (?)....can't remember the term.. Bad frient I am. Long drive to Trail. 8 hours with only 5 CDs. Strongarm and I have similar taste in music and both brought our cd pockets thingys. Kylee forgot hers so had to choose from our selection. Only 5 would she listen to. David Usher, Two John Mayer, Maroon 5 and I can't remember the other one. Made for a very long drive. Got to Trail about 630. Went for dinner at the Colander. Spaghetti, meatballs, salad, chicken n' roasted potatoes. The potatoes were the best part. Wasn't as good as I remembered. Becky (Strongarm's mom) hadn't finished her wedding outfit and was running around frantic. It was horrible. Plus the Groom hadn't made arrangements for their wedding night at the hotel and they didn't know where they were going to go.

Saturday, Strongarm and I got to pick up the cake, buns and flowers and the Gramma (Mary). The wedding was at 230. Strongarm and I wanted to leave at 330 - 4 with Mary but Becky said No. We stayed til about 730-8. The one good thing about the wedding was we met a new friend (or at least I did) her name is Cynthia and she lives in Surrey. She is basically Strongarm's...aunt (being our age and her bf/common law is her stepdad's brother)? Something like that. We went home and to bed.

Sunday, up and cleaned my stuff up in Becky's basement. I went from 11 boxes a suitcase and 2 bags of stuff from age 0 to 19 to a suitcase and 4 boxes. The Sally Ann is gonna think it's christmas with all the Unicorns and stuffed animals and books n' such. We were in there from 12 - 530. I found some great stuff. A Turquoise ring that I got from my mom when I was a youngun n' my Grad book and various and sundry stuff. Some of which came home. Went to see my gran at 7. Had arranged to stay until 8 but totally wanted to leave by 730. She's a heavy smoker and she reeeked. She watched boxing the entire time and was kinda mean. The first thing she said was still got extra meat on ya....and then proceeded to tell me how large I was. Not like I know at all seen as I found my grad dress size 13/14 and now I'm a 22. Went back to Becky's and had pizza and to bed.

Monday, Strongarm woke me at 630. Had a shower. Was changing and they told me that they needed my suitcase. We left the house at 7. I didn't get to eat or nothing and I was CRANKY! We basically were 3 very cranky girls all 9 hours on the drive home with our stupid 5 cds n' snipin' at each other on and off. Home by 3 and myLuc n' I watched CSI NY and LV season finales. Bed at 900.

Tuesday, tadaa...here I am. I tried callin' my friend Julie about this weekend but I haven't heard anything. MyLuc mentioned something about my girly girl mentioning doing something Saturday night...but since she talked to him not me..I have no idea.

Hopefully y'all had a great week and have tales to tell.

TTYL. *HUGE HUGS*

Hehehe, I'm home to Stinkyville for a wedding in a few weeks ... Excited, but not excited all at the sametime. Want Chinese Food from the Warfield Market (no decent stuff to be found here) and to go for a walk on the rocks at gyro. Silly the things one misses! Sounds like you had a tiring but eventful weekend :)
