YAY! It's the end of March.
Hope that y'all have had a great month and are looking forward to the months to come.
All about me and more.
I am: Honest, almost to a fault. But if you don't wanna know don't ask. A good friend.
I want to be: more spontaneous
I have: a "fantastic rack", an eclectic group of friends, a tattoo designed just for me...
I crave: things I can't have (don't we all), love, hugs...
I will always: hug, smile, the good kind that makes it to your eyes, laugh, love..
I love: myLuc, my friends, my Mom, Sprout and Stretch no matter how much they make me angry, life
I live for: love, friends, laughter, if I can make you laugh or even put a smile on your face, that makes my day,
I fear: the past, the present and the future...
I believe: in a whole whack - love, honesty, trust, faith...
I know that: I made it to where I am inside and out by believing in myself and allowing others to voice their thoughts and opinions, I made it to Graceland #2 on my wish list for the 25th Anniversary by knowing that if I could do it, I could do it..
I hope: that I can always make people smile, laugh. that I will continue to make new friends, hang with old and hopefully intermingle the two without too much bloodshed...
I want: to go to New Zealand, have myLuc share his name with me....after all, his cat got it before I did =0)
I miss: my mom, T, friends from back home (every one of them)...
I trust: everyone, in love....
I can't stand: Saurkraut, Liver, people who won't give others a chance, who take them from first meeting, people who can't put aside their masks and allow their true feelings to show....dishonesty...
I listen: to everything, the silence, the sounds of the city, music, people, raindrops on a tin roof, the burbling of a brook, a childs laughter, every breath I take...
I think: too much
I need: independence, love, laughter, friends, a good romance novel....
I lose: at card games with myLuc (even when I cheat) =0)
I sing: and have sung in a Folk Band, when I'm happy and need a little music that's my own
I feel: happy, content, kinda smushy with hardstuff...like icecream with nuts...
I cry: when I'm sad, when I'm angry, when I've just had a day and need a release
I wish: upon a star every chance I get...sometimes more than one a night
I dream: all the time, what's a good skytrain ride without daydreaming about the couple across from you or in the night when the Day Mares switch shifts with the Night Mares....
Other quirks: I love silver, myLuc and I both have a size 7 ring finger....

*HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY MOM*
She was quite happy today. Her husband had made a cake and even iced it. No candles though because "they didn't have a fire extinguisher handy."
I had her telephone me when her package arrived and she was excited to open a bath bomb "Can I reuse it?" "No", a picture of myself and Myluc "You two look too pale, like vampires...get some sun" and Season 1 of Green Acres "*gasp* 66-67...I was 10" too funny.

B.B. King
Two letters followed by periods and then royalty.
Let me tell you. He is the King of Blues. Myluc and I attended the B.B. King concert here in Vancouver on Sunday night. It was awesome! I got a little teary when he came on stage but that's just because I felt I was in the presence of a tremendous human being who has been there, done that, seen most of it.
This man is 79 years old and "has earned the right to sit down...bad back, back knees, diabetes, bad eyes...." He was all attitude and sass...rocking to the music in his chair, his feet never stopped moving. He had us all following him and the band and laughing and goodness...awesome stuff.
At then end of the 2 hour concert he brought us all to a halt by reaching down beside him and saying that he had to watch the time or he got into trouble. And o'course there was a kitchen clock with big numbers and dials that he was marking the time by.
There was no encore but none was needed. As B.B. left the stage "Bugaloo" (I can't for the life of me remember his name) kept repeating "B.B. King, Ladies and Gentlemen, B.B. King."
I have to say that this was a very memorable experience made even more so by being 3rd row left side with only 1 row ahead of us because the numbering started with row 2....and o'course Myluc's picking the tickets up.

Quote of the day: Don't ever take a fence down until you know why it was put up. ~ Robert Frost
Goodness....Monday morning and back to the grind. Why is it that the weekend always zooms by when you're having a good time?
I mean. If you are just doing home stuff, laundry, house cleaning, watching movies, maybe going shopping, and you hit Sunday you thank god that the week is here cuz you get to be busy. I donno. Prolly just me.
Last week was horrible. I almost worked 8 hours overtime and was warned that this week will prolly be the same or more. Not fun!
Friday I told my lawyer that I didn't want to work overtime even though he had asked me too because he hadn't yet decided what he wanted me to do at 345. I leave at 4.
So I left at 4 and waited til almost 430 for a bus to Port Moody. I was heading out to my gf Jules place to enjoy the companionship of her, her husband J and o'course her 6 yr old Jaderator. The bus ride was a little long but I finished the book I was reading and started the second one. I always carry 2-3 books with me cuz I read 2-3 books a day. Can't help it. And then o'course if they're really good I can read more.
So I got to Port Moody and knocked on the door and walked in. Made myself at home, duck slippers n'all and took the DVD's that I had brought, put them by the TV and took my usual position...in a kitchen chair on the outside of the kitchen so I could watch Jules putter around. She was doing the dishes and checking the pot roast, general cleaning.
We ended up making caramel popcorn Saturday night and then chowing down on it. I must say that I make awesome caramel popcorn and it's all due to a cookbook that my Granny gave me that she had bought from the Anglican Ladies Church Group.
All in all a very enjoyable weekend spent at Jules, with her, J and Jaderater. Even if he's growing up and now calls me Polissa instead of Anti Polissa. *shrug* Kids....what can ya say

I can totally believe that people will/may/have done these things.
THINGS TO DO IN A PUBLIC RESTROOM
1. Stick your open palm under the stall wall and ask your neighbor, "May I borrow a highlighter?"
2. Say, "Uh oh, I knew I shouldn't have put my lips on that."
3. Cheer and clap loudly every time somebody breaks the silence with a bodily function noise.
4. Say, "Damn, this water's cold."
5. Drop a marble and say, "Ahhhh! My glass eye!"
6. Say, "Hmmm, I've never seen that color before."
7. Grunt and strain real loud for 30 seconds and then drop a cantaloupe into the toilet bowl from a height of 6 feet. Sigh relaxingly.
8. Say, "Now how did that get there?"
9. Say, "Humus. Reminds me of humus."
10. Say, "Interesting... more floaters than sinkers."
11. Using a small squeeze tube, spread peanut butter on a wad of toilet paper and drop the wad under the stall wall of your neighbor. Then say, "Whoops, could you kick that back over here please?"
12. Fill a balloon with creamed corn. Rush into the stall with your hand over your mouth and let out a lengthy vomit impression while you squeeze the balloon and splatter cream corn all about. Apologize profusely and blame it on the fettuccine alfredo you had for breakfast.
13. Say, "Boy, that sure looks like a maggot."
14. Say, "Damn, I knew that drain hole was a little too small. Now what am I gonna do?"
15. Play a well known drum cadence over and over again on your butt cheeks.
16. Before you unroll toilet paper, conspicuously lay down your "Cross-Dressers Anonymous" newsletter on the floor visible to the adjacent stall.
17. Lower a small mirror underneath the stall wall, adjust it so you can see your neighbor and say, "Peek-a-boo!"
Now that you're all grossed out...let me tell you that I was googling for bodily functions for a quote of the day to go along with my smelly skytrain story but came across the above. It's not really me but some of them are pretty freakin' funny.
I got on the skytrain today and was seated behind an older gentleman. Half of the trip was my covering my nose and mouth with my hand straining the air that was entering my lungs because the gentleman seated in front of me was doing a very good impression of a "weeble wobble" toy. First his left butt cheek and then his right...rocking almost the entire way to downtown Vancouver. He had cleared a pretty impressive area around him and as this is the morning skytrain, which is always packed like a Japanese Subway....you get the picture.
I didn't want to move and give up my seat cuz I was pretty happy earlier on getting a seat but let me tell you, I should've exercised my legs cuz then I could've expanded my lungs fully.
I and about 20 other people on the skytrain exited at Burrard like bullets outta a gun. I swear we all got to the upper level, under the rainy sky and were like "halleluiah...we made it!"
That's my story for this rainy, gloomy Wednesday morning.

For my friend whose is feeling lost and whose heart and mind are giving her the gears.
True To Your Heart
Baby I knew at once that you were meant for me
Deep in my soul I know that I'm your destiny
Though you're unsure, why fight the ride
Don't think so much, let your heart decide
Baby, I see your future and it's tied to mine
I look in your eyes and see you searching for a sign
But you'll never fall till you let go
Don't be so scared of what you don't know
True to your heart
You must be true to your heart
That's when the heavens will part
And baby, shower you with my love
Open your eyes, Your heart can tell you no lies
And when you're true to you heart
I know it's gonna lead you straight to me
Someone ya know is on your side, can set you free
I can do that for you if you believe in me
Why second guess what feels so right
Just trust your heart and you'll see the light
True to your heart
You must be true to your heart
That's when the heavens will part
And baby, shower you with my love
Open your eyes
Your heart can tell you no lies
And when you're true to you heart
I know it's gonna lead you straight to me
Your heart knows whats good for you
Let your heart show you the way
It'll see you through
Boy, my heart is driving me to where you are
You can take both hands off the wheel and still get far
Be swept away, enjoy the ride
You won't get lost with your heart to guide you
True to your heart
You must be true to your heart
That's when the heavens will part
And baby, shower you with my love
Open your eyes, Your heart can tell you no lies
And when you're true to you heart
I know it's gonna lead you straight to me
True to your heart
You must be true to your heart
That's when the heavens will part
And baby, shower you with my love
Open your eyes, Your heart can tell you no lies
And when you're true to you heart
I know it's gonna lead you straight to me
When things are getting crazy
And you don't know where to start
Keep on believin' baby
Just be true to your heart
When all the world around you
It seems to fall apart
Keep on believin' baby
Just be true to your heart

Quote of the day: The difficulty is not that great to die for a friend, the hard part is finding a friend worth dying for.
Too true.
I am a very lucky to person to have such an eclectic group of friends and to be a person that people consider to be a friend, best friend, soul friend or otherwise.
I am lucky to have a soul friend, you know...the one who if you were the opposite sex you'd be soul mates. My friend "T" and I agreed when we were in high school (I've known her since Grade 10) that if we weren't married before we were 30 we'd live together. She is now engaged to be married and the mother of a beautiful baby boy....and I o'course have found Myluc and we've been together almost 2 years. T and I have our problems, as most friends do of things that either go your (either of you) way or not and stories that make us laugh whenever we bring them up and o'course when you greet each other or leave each other you hug and kinda tear up just to be close to that person. She is the only person that makes me cry and laugh at the same time and can call no matter what time to chat about everything and nothing.
I have bests who I've known since I was a wee lass and bests that have recently come into my life.
I have friends who consider me their sounding board and secret keeper and those who just wish to hang out in the same room cuz I'm not demanding of their time and they can just "breathe".
That's my thing, if I feel someone is stressing I tell them to "breathe". It works too and its kinda my thing. Everyone needs to have a thing.
The point of this blurb is just to say that I am glad to have people who consider me their friend and to be their friend.
